Sea and Birds

Description

Sea and birds. This photo is a souvenir of a peaceful moment when the sky and the sea met. I was so happy that day, the man I loved next to me, endless blues, wind and of course endless sea and birds, what more could one want? It seemed like it was a kind of kindness that they accompanied us throughout our journey. As we watched them with all our admiration, it was as if they accompanied our happiness. These excited seagulls accompanied us on our ferry journey. The weather was so beautiful that I felt free like a bird whenever I felt the wind on my face. The sky was like a playground for them, they approached screaming and took the bread crumbs I gave them and ran away.

I have always admired the freedom of birds. While wandering in the blue of the sky, they sometimes land in quiet bays where the waves of the sea hit the shore, rest for a while and continue their flight again. Sometimes I think they make noises as if they are joking with each other and then laugh, sometimes they float silently over the sea and let the wind carry them. They are so fascinating that I feel the same freedom while watching them.

In a book I read about seagulls when I was a little kid, I learned that they could be very wild and predatory. But later I learned that no animal would knowingly and deliberately do harm to humans or other living creatures.

While I was watching the excited flights of the seagulls, I thought that their only concern was to live. Just like other creatures, like us, and I realized that I am much safer around animals than around people.

Thinking of these, I gently held my lover’s hand because I knew that he was just like me. We are very happy whenever we are in nature and with animals.
Towards the end of our journey, we took lots of photos of the seagulls and the blue sky. With the happiness of sharing all the food crumbs in my bag with them, we went down the stairs of the ferry and got to our car.

We have a long way to go, our garden, trees, dogs and cats are waiting for us.
